This Evolution of a Graduate Cake was for our friend who graduated from college with his degree in biology. I wasn't sure what to do, but my husband came up with this idea. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it turned out to be a big hit. Lesson learned on this one – Jell-o is made out of water, and water melts fondant. Luckily, I was able to clean up the mess, and it actually made a sort of primeval ooze. Perfect!
